Vlaminck, one of the biggest fauvist painters, on the 50th anniversary of his death. This uncommon exhibition gathers pieces from an unusual period of his life, stretching from his violently expressive youth paintings to those he made at the beginning of the Second World War. Fascinating !

Description :

The exhibition, which brings together around 75 paintings, highlights the crucial role of this relatively unrecognised artist who was however the precursor of the foundations of Fauvism. He was one of the most virulent initiators of this movement and the exhibition strives to bring value to the extraordinary abundance of his creation between 1879 and 1916.
