University refectories  For students University refectories (known as “restos U”) are located near to the major university campuses in Paris. If you’re a student and can produce your card, you can have a full meal in these places for €2.60. The International Student card is also accepted: you will be given a meal ticket at the restaurant reception, though it may work out a little more expensive. You can also bring a friend, though again it will be a bit dearer (€6). There are 16 “restos U” and a dozen cafeterias, some of which open in the evening, at weekends and during the holidays.
