Description :
Maxim’s is one of those places that are more than a simple restaurant. Situated between Place de la Concorde and Place de la Madeleine, Chez Maxim’s is also a popular nightspot.
Created in 1893, Chez Maxim’s was a bistro that was also the home of courtesans. Although these amorous goings on are a thing of the past, the decor has not changed. The bistro is considered as a masterpiece of art nouveau whose aesthetic decoration is inspired by fauna, flora and feminine charm. The famous fashion designer Pierre Cardin was so impressed by the decoration that he turned the three-floor Maxim building into a museum devoted to this visually prolific period.
Today, evenings at Maxim’s draw a chic Parisian set of clubbers including the young and nostalgic. A wide range of entertainment: vocalists, theatre, karaoke evenings, etc.
On the menu: classic French gastronomy with attentive service. Chez Maxim’s culinary reputation is certainly justified.
