Description
Open since summer 2007, this new cultural site is devoted to two centuries of immigration in France. The permanent exhbition "Repères" tackles departure, the choice of France, travel, frontiers, housing, exclusion, work, cultures' mutual contribution. Explanatory aids: contemporary works of art, multimedia installations, archives, etc. Opened since 10 October 2007, this new cultural site illustrates two centuries of immigration in France. "Repères" (Reference points), its permanent exhibition, recalls the "departure", the "choice of France", the "journey", the "border", the "habitat", "exclusion", "work", and "mutual cultural enrichment", through contemporary art, multimedia installations, and archives.
