Paris, a more accessible city every day |
Paris is a city with incomparable culture and heritage, both traditional and modern.
However, this often imposes constraints or major difficulties for accessibility, with access points that are complicated or restrictive for disabled people.
Giving disabled people the possibility to travel without obstructions, to move around completely freely and to offer them true mobility in our city is one of the priorities of the Paris City Council.
Accessible public spaces, roads and transport are today a reality with the complete accessibility of the Parisian bus network, increased access on boats, tactile paving, etc.
Despite this, major constraints remain; transforming the face of a city while conserving its age-old splendour is not an easy task.
Parisinfo.com will be fully compliant with W3C accessibility standards in 2013.
