Attainable luxury
Its name alone is a tribute to elegance, to literature, and to Paris itself. Ernest Hemingway sang its praises and the spirit of the writer still lingers in the atmosphere. He has left behind him endless anecdotes not to mention a few cocktail recipes. “When I dream of afterlife in heaven, the action always takes place at the Ritz Paris” he was known to say. Coco Chanel took up residence at the hotel, Marcel Proust made his quarters there, as did Jean Cocteau, Scott Fitzgerald, Greta Garbo and these days, Woody Allen.
