MUSEE D'ART ET D'HISTOIRE DU JUDAISME

The Musée d’Art et d’Histoire du Judaïsme, situated in the heart of the Marais, is housed in the Hôtel de Saint Aignan, a mansion house built in1650... Open to the public for some 10 years, the museum retraces the history of Jewish communities, from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, through their artistic and cultural heritage.
Throughout the year, the museum also presents thematic exhibitions, photographic exhibitions, graphic art and art creations of contemporary artists. From 17 October, you will be able to discover the exhibition «De Superman® au chat du Rabbin» (From Superman® to the Rabin’s Cat), showing the important role of many Jewish artists and authors in cartoon strips, through some 270 works and documents on show.
Finally, the museum, sensitive to the requirements of welcoming disabled visitors, carries the «Tourisme & Handicap» label for hearing-impaired disabilities.
