Good to know Paris’s most famous chapel was built in the 13th century at the order of Louis IX to house the relics of Christ’s Passion, notably the crown of thorns, which ... the future Saint Louis bought from the Emperor of Constantinople. A gem of Gothic architecture, it is easily recognizable by on the one hand its unique ensemble of fifteen glass windows and its great rose window that form splendid walls of light in dominant blues and reds.
