Museum National After the renovation of the Army museum, new areas are dedicated to the Second World War and to the action of the "Forces Françaises Libres" (FFL) - that is to say the French Resistance Army - and of their leader, the Général de Gaulle. Important memories are referred to among which the famous call of June 18th 1940, the battle of England, the landing in Normandy, in Provence, the Liberation of Paris. This exhibition takes place in the Invalides Museum in a wing of 2000 m2. The exhibition is divided into two parts : the first one about the Second World War, the second one about the FFL(Forces Françaises libres) and the Général de Gaulle. It allows a complete vision of the strategic places of the Second World War : Europe, Pacific, Africa, Asia.
