Description :
The Musée Rodin is located in the Hotel Biron, at the crossroad of the Boulevard de Invalides and the rue de Varennes.
This 18th century hotel particulier is surrounded by a peaceful and romantic three-hectare green setting with underbrushes, ponds, rose gardens, lawns and flower beds. This French garden full of plants, trees and shrubs is scattered with sculptures by Auguste Rodin.
Current events
The Musée Rodin is renovating the Hôtel Biron from 2012-2013. The Hôtel Biron which houses the permanent collections will be totally closed for renovation from January to April 2011. It will then reopened progressively until 2013. The gardens and the temporary exhibition areas remain open where you can see: 'The Thinker', 'The Burghers of Calais', etc.

Informations :
Works and collections by French sculptor Auguste Rodin exhibited in a private mansion of the 18th century. Architects : Auber, Gabriel (1729-1731). Works by French sculptress Camille Claudel.
Some famous works by Rodin are shown in the park ("The Thinker"..."The Burghers of Calais").

Free for journalists, teachers, art history students, Cotorep disabled persons, as well as to the public on the first Sunday of every month. Since 4 April 2009, free for -26s belonging to the European Union and for primary and secondary school teachers (except temporary exhibitions).
