Description :
Ancient and contemporary African arts, and cultures of the Caribbean and the diasporas of sub-Saharan
Africa are promoted through exhibitions, shows (music, theatre, stories), conferences and a movie club.

The museum is closed until october 5th 2011
Informations :
The new museum designed by architect Alain Moatti allows its visitors to discover the richness of Africa's past and also the contemporary Caribbean and Afro-American worlds. Live art: music, dance and theatre will join together with the plastic arts and photography.
Meetings and discussions are also organised every six months on themes in relation with the new items in the "Dapper Littérature" collection, created in 1998 and 1999.

2,50 euros for students, the unemployed, cartes vermeil and groups.
Guided tour :
Guided visits for adults and school children by appointment.
