Informations :
The Tenniseum, the first multimedia tennis museum, uses advanced technologies to trace the evolution of the sport of tennis over the centuries.
Covering 2,200 sq.m, it contains A PERMANENT EXHIBITION ROOM AND MULTIMEDIA AREA:
80 articles tracing the history of French tennis. Films shown on plasma screens, photographs and paintings. Legendary figures of French tennis such as Suzanne Lenglen or the Musketeers, whose matches are accompanied by hitherto unpublished reports. The visitor can also learn about how the Roland-Garros stadium itself developed and for the first time will be able to see first-hand the famous winning trophies of the French Open. Free access to bilingual computer workstations: archival films on tennis from 1897 to the present day, summaries of all the matches, exclusive interviews with the top champions...
A THEMATIC EXHIBITION ROOM: every year, a new exhibition will be on display. The opening exhibition entitled “100 Objects, 100 Stories” offers a new approach to 500 years of tennis.
A MULTIMEDIA LIBRARY:
From the first stroke of real tennis to the most recent publications (books and magazines, posters...), all these works and illustrations can be consulted on site.
AN EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN, activity area designed for young people (on request only).
