Informations :

DMF - French Museums Board

From François I to Napoleon III, Fontainebleau Castle used to be one of the French sovereigns' favourite residences. The Castle houses a superb collection of paintings, stucco motives, carved wood and furniture. Thanks to this collection, we can follow
the development of taste through the centuries.
15 rooms are dedicated to Napoleon and his family, and an unusual room is occupied by Empress Eugénie's Chinese museum.
