Informations :
Centre des Monuments Nationaux
With a courtyard and a garden, the Hôtel de Sully is one of the most beautiful private mansions in Paris. Henry IV's minister, Maximilien de Béthune, Duke of Sully lived in this 17th century monument in the heart of the Marais.
Since 1967 it has been the headquarters of the Centre des monuments nationaux. The information centre is situated in the Cour d'honneur. The library is accessible to all. In the grand low-ceiling rooms you can admire the painted beams of the ceiling. The garden, originally in a French formal style with "embroidery" effect, gives access to the place des Vosges.
The home page of the Centre des Monuments Nationaux www.monuments-nationaux.fr links to a minisite "Accueil pour tous" (everybody welcome) for people with all types of disabilities (blind or sight impaired, deaf or hearing impaired, reduced mobility, mentally disabled).
