Description :
This museum, a reconstitution of a fun fair, presents one of the world’s biggest collections of merry-go-rounds, fun-fair stalls and rides, restored and in working order, as well as some 1,500 historic works, from 1850 to the present.
Current events
Special opening 20 December 2010 - 2 January 2011; 10am - 6pm without reservation: various shows, merry-go-rounds and games.
Adults = €10 - Children aged 16 and under = €5
Free for children under 3 years old, jobseekers and the disabled.
Informations :
Reconstitution of a fun-fair: 14 merry-go-rounds and 16 restored, working fairground stalls, 18 collections of major historical works, the European Schools Museum exhibits 1522 pieces.
The Museum of Fairground Arts has gained the "Living Heritage Company" label (Entreprise de Patrimoine Vivant), a label given by the ministry of Economy, Industry and Employment, implemented to promote French companies with an economical heritage, who show ancestral skills through the use of traditional techniques.
This museum consists of one of the greatest collections of fun-fair history, from 1850 to the present day.
