L’Adresse Musée de La Poste houses a vast collection of postal and philatelic patrimony and is in charge of its preservation, diffusion and showing off.
Writing, history and culture are the main topics of its activity.
From the Seven-League Boots to Aeropostale heroes, through 150 years of philately in France, the collections of l’Adresse Musée de La Poste write the story, not only of La Poste company but also of the everyday French life. The museum is divided into galleries that explore French’s postal history from the Middle Ages to the present and even the future. Upon more than 1 000 m2, collections such as first postal road maps, postman uniforms, scale models of artists, stamps, popular objects and a vast collection of mail art are shown to the public.
