Park-garden-walk
District : La Villette / Belleville / Canal Saint-Martin
Description :
This garden created in 1995, and with a surface area of 6,300 m², is devoted to wild flowers that used to flower in the capital when Paris was much more countrified. A pond in a sunny area, shady undergrowth and a flower meadow provide a delightful habitat for insects and passing birdlife.
Mother Nature is in charge of reseeding wildflowers and safeguarding animal life. A stroll through this untouched garden is a delightful nature walk complete with ponds, undergrowth, a meadow and all sorts of birds and insects. Because it is so beautifully preserved in its natural state, the garden is often used for educational workshops on biodiversity.
