Park-garden-walk
District : Nation – Père Lachaise
Description :
Named after the great tragic actress, Square Sarah Bernhardt regularly wins summer garden competitions – hardly surprising, as it boasts 200 trees of 50 different species, with a riot of colour in flower beds and tasteful arrangements of acid-loving plants and perennials completing the display.
The red brick shed near the obelisk is an excellent vantage point from which to admire the profusion of plants and flowers, landscaped in the style of the Roaring Twenties, when the square was built.
