The mac/val, the astounding museum of contemporary art in Val-de-Marne, made an opening at the end of 2005. It is the first of its kind to open so close to Paris! With more than a thousand works, featuring the artistic scene from the fifties to the present day in France, it also lends itself as an arts space, where you can visit the cinema, resource centre, the bookshop and workshops. To complete the visit, sit down at a table in the museum's restaurant, the Transversal, which is pleasing both to the palate and to the eyes.
