Regulations on "accessibility"
The law of 11 February 2005 “for the equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship of disabled people”, and its different decrees which envisage a generalized accessibility, regardless of the type of disability : physical, sensorial or mental.
The regulations stipulate the technical measures destined to make new or already existing Establishments Receiving the Public (ERP) and Installations Open to the Public (IOP) accessible to disabled people.
The law also specifies that « 10 years hence, public transport and all places receiving the public, whether public or private, should be made accessible ».
