From 26 November 2007 to 18 January 2008.
To celebrate the end of year festivities, Paris is illuminated with wonderful lighting effects! A myriad of festive lights will enliven the centres of Parisian neighbourhoods.
Some one hundred streets, squares and avenues of the City of Lights are transformed into a river of light, a shower of stars, a golden wave, magical Christmas trees, swathes of sparkling light, and more.
These exceptional illuminations in the French capital, titled “Paris illumine Paris”, take on a bigger dimension each year thanks to the motivation of associations of local businesses and the expertise of professionals and designers in electrical lighting; they provide an innovative and economic decoration specific to each area of Paris, from the Champs-Elysées, to Montmartre, along with the Viaduc des Arts, the boulevard Saint-Germain, avenue Montaigne, the rue Oberkampf etc.
Spectacular illuminations for an unforgettable Christmas and end of year celebrations!
